Tools and Information for Kings Kids Families
At Kings Kids Early Learning Center, we believe that parents are our most important partners. To help families stay informed and supported, we’ve gathered helpful links to the forms, curriculum tools, and state programs that make your child’s early learning journey successful.
This page serves as a central hub for everything from enrollment packets to state-approved curriculum guides. Whether you’re just beginning the enrollment process or looking for updates on Maryland’s childcare programs, you’ll find everything you need in one place.

Enrollment & Family Access
Our Application Packet includes all the forms you need to enroll your child at Kings Kids Early Learning Center. Inside, you’ll find information about required documentation, health forms, and agreements that ensure your child’s smooth transition into our program. We encourage families to review the packet carefully and reach out with any questions about the enrollment process.
We use the Brightwheel Parent Portal to keep families connected and informed every day. Through Brightwheel, you can:
- Check your child’s daily activities, meals, and nap times
- Receive photos and updates directly from teachers
- Manage billing and attendance records
- Message your child’s classroom staff in real time
This tool ensures you never miss a moment of your child’s learning journey.
Financial Assistance
Maryland Child Care Scholarship Program
The Maryland Child Care Scholarship helps families offset the cost of tuition at licensed childcare centers. Many families at Kings Kids qualify for this program, which covers partial or full tuition depending on income and household size. If you think you may be eligible, visit the state’s website to review the application process and learn what documentation you’ll need to apply.
We’re happy to answer questions and guide you through this process to make quality childcare more affordable.
Curriculum & Learning
The Investigator Club
Our infant and toddler classrooms use The Investigator Club, a nationally recognized early childhood curriculum. This program is built around children’s natural curiosity and encourages them to become “investigators” of the world around them. It promotes literacy, math, science, and social-emotional development through guided exploration.
Program Philosophy
The Investigator Club’s philosophy emphasizes play-based learning while nurturing children’s natural sense of wonder. Parents can read about the guiding principles behind the curriculum and how it builds confidence, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
Children Study Their World
Developed in Maryland, Children Study Their World is a Pre-K curriculum that prepares children for kindergarten through themed projects and real-world exploration. Parents can learn more about how this curriculum encourages children to investigate topics like nature, family, and community while developing literacy and math skills.
Children Explore Their World
For three-year-olds, Children Explore Their World provides age-appropriate, hands-on learning. The curriculum is designed to support children’s growth in language, cognitive skills, and creativity, while fostering independence and curiosity.
Nutrition & Wellness
Maryland’s CACFP Program
At Kings Kids, we provide breakfast and snacks as part of the USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). This state-supported program ensures children receive healthy, balanced meals each day. Parents can explore the CACFP site to see how nutrition guidelines are designed to promote lifelong healthy eating habits.
Community Nutrition Program
The Community Nutrition Program expands access to healthy meals beyond the childcare center. This program provides families with information on community resources, meal planning, and food security initiatives across Maryland.
Developmental Tools
Developmental Screening Tools (Ages & Stages Questionnaires)
We use the Ages & Stages Questionnaires (ASQ) to help track and support children’s developmental progress. These tools provide insights into physical, social, and cognitive milestones, allowing teachers and parents to work together in supporting each child’s growth. Parents can visit the ASQ site to learn more about how screenings identify strengths and areas where extra support may be needed.
State & Education Updates
Maryland State Department of Education News
The Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) provides news and updates about childcare policy, funding opportunities, and early childhood initiatives. Parents can visit the MSDE news page to stay informed about statewide developments that may affect childcare centers, schools, and families.
Partnering With Parents
At Kings Kids Early Learning Center, we believe informed parents make empowered families. By offering access to these resources, we aim to keep you connected not only to our center but also to the larger community of support available throughout Maryland.
